Several sailing options are available: motor yachts, sail boats, speedboats and catamarans and charter companies have qualified crews, allowing you to sit back and enjoy the wonders of the sea. Trips can be booked for just a few hours or several days and take you to scenic coves and beaches along the way. .


The Blue Reef Aquarium

Children will definitely enjoy a visit to the Blue Reef Aquarium located in Portsmouth. The Blue Reef Aquarium is situated on Clarence Esplanade between the two piers and is open every day from 10 am to 5pm. The aquarium is home to a wide variety of fish and marine creatures and even has a giant ocean display which has an underwater tunnel where you can get up close and personal with a wide variety of deep sea creatures. The aquarium also has a display of otters and a nursery which showcases a wide range of newborn aquatic life. An outdoor play area comprising of a sandy beach and play zone is a hit with the kids in the summers. The aquarium has a gift shop and café and is located at Clarence Esplanade, Southsea, Portsmouth. Current Admission is £9 for adults and £7 for kids from 3-14 but some discounted tickets are available for families..


The Royal Saskatchewan Museum

Learn about the origins of the Saskatchewan province at this museum devoted to Natural History. Here you can explore and learn about the area's original inhabitants, its native flora and fauna and its geology in its three main galleries called the First Nation Gallery, the Life Sciences gallery and the Earth Science Gallery. The museum also has a half-sized robotic Tyrannosaurus rex which has been named Megamunch who greets his tiny visitors with a roar. The museum is fun for both kids and adults alike. Ambury Farm Park

Ambury Farm Park is a popular attraction for children and adults in Auckland. This working farm which is located just 15 kms from downtown Auckland is popular with families and birdwatchers. The farm has been in existence for centuries having first been run by the Maoris and then the original settlers. The farm is located in Manukau Harbor and it sits on ash-covered lava flows from the Mangere Mountain. The farm has sheep, goats, cows, pigs, pet lambs, horses, chickens, turkeys, rabbits and peacocks and if you want you can even go into the paddocks and pet these animals. The farm also offers demonstrations of sheep shearing and wood chopping , milking as well as other discovery walks and it also has picnic and barbeque areas.
