I recently stayed at the Phoenicia, just outside the gates of Valletta and it was the most amazing hotel that I used in Malta so far. Great staff and they choice of modern bedrooms on the 3 and 4 floor or traditional Maltese decor on the lower ones with balconies overlooking the lush gardens and harbour. I can as well highly recommend having dinner at the terrace and the bar reminds me of Raffles in Singapore wit its colonial touches. In overall the leading hotel on the island if you would like to have a great location coupled with outstanding service. .
